ODAILY Our Daily table – home cooking, explained

Editorial policy

A cooking guide is only useful if it works when you try it. These are the principles behind every page on ODAILY.

Tested in a home kitchen

Every technique and recipe is cooked on an ordinary domestic stove and oven before it is published. When we give a time or temperature, it is one we have actually used. When results vary a lot between kitchens, we tell you what to look for instead of only what the clock says.

Explaining the why

We try to explain why a step works, using reliable sources on food science and the guidance of food safety agencies. Understanding the reason helps you adapt, substitute and fix things when they go wrong.

Honest about trade-offs

Shortcuts are welcome, but we say what they cost: a quicker sauce may be less rich, a no-knead loaf may have a denser crumb. We do not promise miracles, and we do not invent studies, quotes or statistics.

Independent

We do not sell cookware or ingredients and we do not accept payment, free products or affiliate commissions for recommendations. When we compare equipment, we name what to look for rather than pushing a brand. Ads are served by Google AdSense and are kept separate from editorial content.

Inclusive and practical

We write for home cooks of every level, with measurements in cups and grams where it helps, and we keep ingredient lists to what an ordinary supermarket sells.

Corrections

If you find a mistake, write to hello@odaily.xyz. We check every report and update the guide, noting the review date at the top.

Our other projects

Projects from the same publisher appear only on the clearly labelled page From our household, never hidden inside a guide.
